About Us

Welcome to the BC Shellfish Festival!

The BC Shellfish Festival is the largest shellfish festival on the West Coast. On the third weekend of every June, the town of Comox hosts a two-day event that brings people from near and far to meet farmers, sample a delectable array of food from the sea, learn the tips of pros during our day-long cooking demos, listen to some local live music and enjoy the view of the Comox Glacier and more at Comox Marina Park from the beer tent.

The BC Shellfish Festival is a non-profit society run by a volunteer board of directors with the purpose of:

* creating a premier culinary destination for seafood lovers

* positioning itself as a unique culinary event that highlights and markets the province of British Columbia’s shellfish, farmers and chefs

* creating a venue for British Columbian shellfish farmers and chefs to connect and bring their combined offerings to the public

* increase demand for BC’s locally grown, sustainably raised shellfish products through consumer interaction and awareness
